1. Your favorite bar or restaurant

Where is your favorite place to grab a margarita or craft beer? Is there somewhere with cute outdoor seating that would be perfect for your summer engagement session?

If you and your fiance love burgers, head somewhere where you can chow down on some fries and patties. Nothing tells your love story better than going to one of your favorite restaurant or bar where you get to enjoy your favorite food or drink!

2. Where you first met

Whether it was the campus library, an elevator or the grocery store, it’s always fun to go down memory lane!

Andrew and Alexandria got all dressed up to have their engagement session for their save the date cards at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Chicago! There were so many gorgeous locations all hidden inside the gardens!

3. Ice cream shop

You’d probably find my husband and I at Jeni’s Icecream on Southport. With our own cones of course, because who shares ice cream anyways?

4. Coffee shop

These sessions are perfect for winter or fall sessions because you can be cozied up in the coffee shop, sipping on your latte or cappuccino.

5. The beach

Beaches are notorious for clean, natural light so are the perfect backdrop for beautiful sunset or sunrise engagement sessions!

6. A beautiful park

Chicago and its surrounding suburbs have soooo many beautiful parks! Matter of fact, even if you’re in Nebraska or New York, you probably have some hidden gem parks that would be awesome for your next photo session.

I had so much fun exploring downtown Minneapolis with Ericka and Danny for their engagement session! We went to the Father Hennepin Bluff Park and the Stone Arch Bridge, both downtown Minneapolis and right next to each other!

7. A place with a view

Whether it’s the Chicago skyline in the back or the Rocky Mountains, there’s something so romantic about photos with jaw dropping scenery.

Sarah and Kevin decided they wanted to have their engagement session at Milton Lee Olive Park in Chicago and I am so happy that’s where we did their photos! The skyline of Chicago was unreal from this park.

8. City-scape

Are you and your boo total city folks who strive off of the hustle and bustle of the city? Try out an engagement session where you hit the town! It’s always fun to be dressed up and roaming through the streets, hoping on the L for your next destination in the city.

9. A fair or festival

There’s something so unique and cute about eating corn dogs and cotton candy with your love! Grab a candy apple and hop on the farris wheel for some fun photos.

10. Somewhere meaningful to you

Did you adopt your puppy from the animal shelter and want to document that milestone in your life through your engagement photos? What about the place where the two of you got engaged at? Revisiting a place that is special to you as a couple for your engagement session is an awesome way to document your story.
