Brittany and Adam’s August wedding at the Highland Park Community House couldn’t have been anymore perfect! I knew I was going to have so much fun with these two after our epic North Avenue Beach sunrise session this past spring.
These two crafted their wedding day to be something unique and special to them as a couple, something I value so so much in my couples. They enjoyed pie from Bang Bang Pie instead of typical cake. Spotted Cow was a staple. Brittany’s Grandpa’s hand-crafted a wooden card box that Brittany and Adam can now repurpose in their new home together. Every little detail was them.
The trend of mismatching bridesmaid dresses is one that I am 100% on board with! Brittany and Adam chose shades of wine and rose for their bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen ties.
Like most couples, Brittany and Adam wanted to write letters to each other to read on their wedding day. What Adam didn’t know was that she had actually been writing letters to Adam since before they even met! Adam got to read the actual notebook that Brittany had been writing letters to her future husband since she first began writing in it. Ahhhh the feels!
Portrait time is always my favorite time on a wedding day because after they complete their first look, the nerves are lessened a bit and they get to actually enjoy each other and soak up the “it’s our wedding day” feels. Plus, these two are naturally goofy and playful, so it was so much fun to see how much they make each other laugh and giggle!
Brittany’s dad became the MVP when he brought Brittany a 10 piece McNugget and fries to eat between photo sets. That’s my kinda bride!
Brittany wouldn’t be a Wisconsin Gal unless she smuggled Spotted Cow across the Illinois-Wisconsin boarder for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour and the reception 😉
