Sarah and Kevin’s wedding is one very special to me because they booked me when my photography business was in the early stages and I was just starting out. These two were my very first paying client that I personally did not already know! Their fall wedding at Emmett’s Brewing Company in West Dundee, Illinois will always have a special place in my heart for that reason. These two trusted my vision, growing experience and education and took a chance on me.

Because these two have a love for beer, it wasn’t any surprise that they decided to wed at a totally different, cool and brew-worthy place: Emmett’s Brewing! And what better wedding color for a fall wedding than burgundy and navy? I’m biased again, because these were my wedding colors hehe!

Sarah wore a beautiful, lacy, blush gown with cute little buttons all along the back. She had a cathedral veil that was so much fun to photograph!

The couple honored their family members who couldn’t be there with them during their wedding ceremony with a moment of silence, but something I thought was so unique was Kevin had a pin on his suit jacket with a photo of his Grandpa! Kevin’s Grandpa was close to his heart the entire wedding day. After Sarah was dressed, before meeting with Kevin for a first look, Sarah decided to do a first look with her brother and her father. I don’t know how Sarah’s tear ducts handled it so well! Yes, she cried during all three, but she didn’t smudge her makeup one bit!

Cue the cutest ring bearer ever….

Sarah is from Vermont, so it made total sense that their wedding favors were these adorable leaf-shaped bottles of maple syrup. Yummmmm. The hubby and I took a trip to Vermont this past spring so Sarah was the first person I reached out to to hear all of the ins and outs of Burlington! Oh, and yes, Sarah loves Ben and Jerry’s ice cream too 🙂 All Vermont Natives love Ben and Jerry’s, duh!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Konieczny! Thank you so much for picking me to photograph your special day. Between sharing our favorite season as fall to our kitties that look like twins, I am so fortunate to have met the two of you and I can’t wait to watch your love GROW!
