Burgundy and Dusty Mauve St. Charles Wedding

Stephanie and Erik’s gorgeous burgundy and dusty mauve wedding in St. Charles, Illinois was one for the books! Like many other couples, these two had to tweak and adjust their wedding plans for 2020 due to the coronavirus by scaling back their guest list and adjusting where their wedding was held, but their day couldn’t have been any more perfect and intimate. The day was a lot warmer than their chilly, winter engagement session at North Avenue Beach, that’s for sure!

The day started with mimosas and matching pjs at one of the bridesmaid’s beautiful home. These ladies were so much fun to hang out with! I love my time in the morning being with the bride and her bridesmaids because I get to see the type of dynamic they all have together. The ladies all knew Stephanie from either work, college or high school. Stephanie’s Matron of Honor is actually the groom’s sister! When Stephanie and Erik first booked with me, I remember thinking how special it was that her best friend is also the sister of the groom. Not only just a sister, but a TWIN sister!    

Baker Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Charles, Illinois is breathtaking. I loved how bright the space was and all of the beautiful stained glass windows. The couple had their pastor marry them, which was super special.

I always love when I can get a shot of the groom crying and Erik didn’t disappoint! It was so special seeing him get teary-eyed watching his bride walk down the aisle.

Bloome did such an incredible job with Stephanie’s bouquet! I love florals that have lots of pops of color so I couldn’t stop taking pictures of this bouquet. Like, come on!

When Stephanie told me about these gorgeous string lights and LED light up balloons they were planning on decorating the park with, I knew it was going to be epic! They added to the ambiance and vibe! 

Stephanie and Erik – I am so fortunate to have you as one of my ADP Couples. Your day was so special to me and I am so glad you two were still able to get hitched this year like you’ve always planned and dreamed for! Can’t wait to see what your future holds!
