Backyard Wedding in Hastings, Minnesota

Ashley and Jonathan’s backyard wedding in Hastings, Minnesota was filled with lots of love, close friends and yummy food! These two were originally set to get married in May, but because of Covid, had to change their wedding plans. You wouldn’t even know that was the case though based off of how well their backyard wedding was executed! Ashley’s parents had such a great home for the day. Their backyard was perfect!

The location for Ashley and Jonathan’s first look was a very special one for them. On their 6 month anniversary, they hung a lock on the bridge at Vermillion Falls Park in Hastings, Minnesota. The falls is a meaningful spot to them, so as soon as Ashley mentioned the idea to me, I was all for it! We stuck around the falls for a few portraits after their first look. Oh, and they even found their lock! Purple, of course 🙂 Their wedding colors!

While we were walking around the park, these two couldn’t stop smiling at each other! They’ve been together for awhile now, so you could definitely tell they were excited to be officially married and get to spend the rest of their lives together as best friends.

This wedding party did the whole “mismatch color” thing perfectly! The girls all wore different styles of purple dresses and the guys had different purple ties. This is such a fun wedding trend that I am allllllll about. And how cute is this cheesecake, donut and churro bar!?
