Summer Downtown Minneapolis Engagement Session

Jess and Shawn’s summer downtown Minneapolis Engagement Session featured a gorgeous couple, beautiful skyline and one adorable pup! The best part? The date we did their session was actually exactly one year away from their wedding date! Talk about the perfect way to celebrate 365 days to go. We started the session at the Stone Arch Bridge with their dog, Benny. These two love to travel, explore new breweries, weekends at the cabin, and binge watching Netflix. They also take their dog Benny on walks across the Stone Arch Bridge, so it was an easy decision that we would start their engagement session here! It’s familiar to Benny and also somewhere special for their relationship.

After we finished up at the Stone Arch Bridge, Jess’ Mom took Benny home (thank you, Mom!) and the couple changed into outfit #2! We then headed to the Lyndale Park Rose Garden which is GORGEOUS! This location features a beautiful park and also Lake Harriett.

I loved how our session together was filled with so much laughter and joy, but also sweet, romantic moments. Jess and Shawn ADORE each other and you can just tell! In their “Just Booked Questionnaire”, they mentioned there’s not a day that goes by that they don’t make each other laugh and that they always manage to find joy in all the little moments of everyday life.

Would you even be planning a wedding in 2020 without getting a photo in your cute masks? 😉 I think not!

These two get married next summer at Day Block Brewing! When I met with the couple pre-covid, that is actually where we had our first meeting before they booked! It was fun getting to see the space they chose to host their big day. Can’t wait for next year, Jess and Shawn!
