A Silver Lake Country Club Wedding

I am loving all of the small and intimate weddings I am getting to photograph this year! Katrina and Jeremy had their very closest friends and family at their beautiful Silver Lake Country Club wedding and it was beyond perfect. The day featured a totally unique unity ritual during the ceremony (hint: it involves paint!), a cutie patootie named Tristan, and the most beautiful sunset.

Katrina decided to do a first look with her father and it was one of the cutest first looks ever. Dad was so excited to see his girl. They both shed a few tears. Absolutely precious!

Next up was the first look with Jeremy and Tristan! Tristan was so excited to see mommy! He has been calling his wedding day outfit a “costume” so he was pretty pumped for Katrina to see him in his “costume” too. Katrina and Jeremy read their vows to each other and Katrina gifted Jeremy a set of cufflinks for him to wear at their wedding in April with more wedding guests.

I have loved seeing how creative my couples are getting lately when it comes to their unity ceremony during their wedding ceremony. Katrina and Jeremy wanted to have Tristan involved in the unity ritual somehow since now they are becoming a family together. They decided to paint a canvas that they will now display in their home. It was such a fun and unique idea!

These two sure know how to make each other laugh, so I loved all the genuine smiles I got during portrait time! Plus, we had the most GORGEOUS sunset. When Katrina first inquired with me to photograph her wedding, she mentioned how her and Jeremy met online. I would say that over half of my couples have met online so it’s been really fun seeing how online dating is becoming the norm and is actually a really great way to meet your significant other. She mentioned that they talked for a bit over the phone and through text before officially meeting, but once they met, she knew he was the one.
