A Chianti and Navy Chicago Suburbs Wedding

Michelle and Danny’s chianti and navy wedding in the Chicago suburbs had three very special and beautiful locations on the most epic wedding date of the year: 10-10-2020!

The Lincolnshire Marriott Resort is where the couple got ready for the day.

When searching for a venue, Michelle and Danny were looking for a “vacation feel” when on the hunt for their dream venue and fell in love with the Lincolnshire Marriott. Unfortunately due to covid, their plans had to get altered slightly, but we made it epic by doing Michelle’s “getting ready photos” in the Grand Marquee, the space that their reception was supposed to take place.

The ring Michelle wore on her right hand was her Aunt Helen’s. She watched her when she was younger and the ring has always been one of Michelle’s favorites. She would always want to try it on and wear it!

The necklace Michelle wore was made out of the diamonds from her Grandmother’s wedding rings. I love when my couples have special and meaningful touches incorporated like this on their wedding day.Michelle did a first look with her Dad. It was a special moment between the two of them! The two had a beautiful ceremony at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Wheeling.

It was important for the couple to be wed by Father Rich. He married both of Michelle’s cousins and did their kids’ baptisms and has been involved in many family events, so that was something they couldn’t go without. The service was so special hearing how Father Rich spoke of Michelle and Danny and how they have known each other for so long. He had mentioned that regardless of all of the craziness going on in the world and having to cut their guest list down to 20%, the day was still unbelievably special. I couldn’t agree more.

Chevy Chase Country Club was where the couple held their intimate dinner reception with their guests and goodness, we got the most BEAUTIFUL golden glow for portraits! I cannot wait to photograph at this venue again in 2021!

Absolutely loved these chianti colored bridesmaid dresses!

The two have a golden doodle named Riley and Michelle thought of the cutest little wedding day surprise for Danny. She had the bakery put a golden doodle on the cake so then when they walked over to cut their cake, it would be a fun little surprise for Danny. Isn’t this the cutest cake you’ve ever seen?
